How To Have a Successful Direct Sales Facebook Party

How To Have a Successful Direct Sales Facebook Party

A Direct Sales Facebook party is a great way to add additional sales to your month.

When it comes to party planning, a Direct Sales Facebook party is a great option to reach more people.  The best way to be successful in your business is to get in front of people and that of course means booking parties, especially online parties.  If you have kept up with my blog, you know that I strongly believe that group interaction is the best way to book more parties and of course allow conversation about people joining your team.  However in this day and age, social media is something that all direct sales consultants should use in conjunction with the traditional party planning platform. Social media allows for more chances to bond with your teams, stay in contact with customers and even add virtual parties to your 2-4 in home parties you have on your calendar.

Since 2014, Social Media has allowed more and more consultants to become very successful in party planning when having a virtual option added to their party selection.  Direct Sales is an amazing business and allows anyone to conduct their business according to what works in their life.  More and more consultants are adding Facebook or virtual parties to their calendar and having tremendous success. Of course, I don’t believe that consultants should have only Facebook events instead of home parties. I believe these events are a great addition and can engage a group of people that might not be able to attend a home party.

Here are some things you can do and tips to set up your Direct Sales Facebook Party:

1. Set up a Facebook Event. I strongly suggest your direct sales Facebook party private, letting people know that they are by invitation only and then letting people know  that if they want an invite to private message you. Some Direct Sales companies do not allow you to post offers or events so the best way to stay in Compliance is to keep these private. If your company does not have any of these policies in place, feel free to make the event public but you may have a group of participants who are only consultants. I always open up my events thru my personal page so that I can keep them private and I make my host and admin of the event. Really good host coaching here is important so that you can advise her not to simply add everyone in her friend’s list but 30-50 close friends that she knows have the most chance of attending. When you blindly invite everyone, no one feels special. Make this about some VIP’s in your life 🙂

2. You can create virtual parties and make yourself the hostess for your event or you can do this for other customers. If you have a customer who is the hostess, be sure to still send them catalogs and order forms so they can collect orders from people who may not be able to attend the event or who do not have Facebook.

3. There a couple of ways to do a Facebook event. You can keep it open where people comment in the event during a period of time such as a week or you can do an online event night where the event will take place for a quick 60 minutes. All guests will jump onto Facebook and spend time online in the event. I personally love the quick 60 minute events. This drives people to the event at a given time and keeps from the party from being lingering as “open”.

4. Introduce yourself. The most successful consultants learn to connect and build relationships. Post a selfie or my favorite thing to do is post a quick 30-60 second introduction video. Share with people who you are, what you love, what you are all about. When your guests can connect with you on some level, they are more apt to turn into loyal customers and possible team members.

5. Who is at the party? About 15 minutes before the online party, I always like to ask who is with us. Ask your guests to post a selfie of where they are, what they are dressed in or what they are drinking. Seeing who stays involved is always a sure fire way of determining who might be interesting in booking their own online party or joining your team.

6. Save yourself time and energy by using a scheduling tool. My go to scheduling tool is of course CINCHSHARE! I use Cinchshare to schedule everything I do on Facebook. When you use something like Cinchshare, you have the ability to spend more of your time engaging with your guests rather than worrying about what post  you have to have ready next.

7.During the event, you as the consultant would hang out in the event. You can offer deals during the hour, play games, post prizes for anyone that orders during a particular hour. There are a variety of things to do. You can post pictures or packages you have. For example, if you have a combo pack, post on the event that anyone that purchases that pack will receive a free item with their order. Show as many videos you can with your promos or specials. Make them quick and fast. People are visual. They like to see what they are getting.  I always like to use the “if you buy this, or complete this task, then you get this.” People love the “whats in it for them.”

8. You can still conduct an Online Facebook party the same way you would a home party. You can tell a little bit about about yourself, posting it in the event. Type a little bit about the company (or use a video), and then make sure you cover guests booking their own parties either online or in home and also information about the business opportunity. What has worked best for me is showing my basket of colored envelopes with available party dates on them and telling my guests to pick a date for their online party and they get to pick an envelope. Yes it is definitely like, “Let’s Make A Deal.” The great thing about online parties is your guests really get to see how easy it is and for me have been more likely to pick a date. They love being able to sit in their jammies and earn free stuff.

9. Don’t forget to covering finding new business partners. I always do a thread where I ask my guests to ask me a question. I watch the questions and tell them they can ask me anything about my job or my business and will earn a prize. I usually always send private messages to those that asked questions and along with their prize I send them an information packet.

10.  For anyone that makes an online order, send a personal Facebook message to the guess thanking them for their order, providing tips on how to use the product they just bought, and asking their permission to add the guest to her newsletter list. In the event, I highly suggest posting who just placed an order and announcing a small gift they received for doing so.  By starting her message with a value piece, she engages that guest, even though it’s virtual.   If they do have a question, they now know how to contact her.

11. Post tips and ideas just as you would at a home party. Make jokes. Let people start having fun. Even though this is virtual, you can create a dialogue that is very easy to get people laughing and enjoying themselves. Funny, entertaining videos are always a win. Its a party. Be sure your guests have fun….and laugh.

12.. Be sure to send follow up emails to every guest whether they order or not. This is a great way to being a relationship with customers. You can let them know when the next Facebook party will be and really start a friendship . By doing this you will create loyal customers that could be around the country.

13. The best way to have a direct sales Facebook party is to let people know that a name will be drawn from all the ordering customers. The drawn name will be considered the hostess and will earn all the hostess rewards for that party. How amazing. Someone will earn free and half priced stuff from their favorite company and they never had to leave the comfort of their home office. You simple take the orders, get the credit card payments and then whose ever name you draw becomes the hostess and gets to decide what they want free.

14. Always collect drawing slips. Getting your guests information is the best way to build that connection. You can create an easy fillable form using google forms and post the link. Once you have their information, you can then add it to your contact area of your back office and keep the conversation going.

15. A LIVE Direct Sales Facebook Party. Don’t forget we now have Facebook Live and you are able to stream Live within your events. This is a gold mine. The more your guests can see you, the more they trust you. In the post area, click the little LIVE man and go LIVE. You can do it once or twice or conduct the entire party this way. People will love the interaction and the ability to see a live person within the party. How simply right?

Facebook parties are a great way to add additional sales for the month to your business. These are great if you are having a slow month or need to get more interaction. Tons of people have a night where they aren’t doing anything but can’t necessarily venture out to a home party. Why not offer a virtual party where they can still buy their favorite goodies and possibly win the Hostess rewards.
